In January 2009, Nicole became the Associate Minister with responsibilities including Worship, Youth Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, and Christian Education.

Nicole grew up in Iowa and Minnesota and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Women's Studies from Mills College in Oakland, CA. Having taken several courses in theology, Nicole pursued further study at the University of Chicago Divinity School. Nicole graduated with her Master's of Divinity degree in June 2006 and that summer began a two-year Lilly Pastoral Residency at Hyde Park Union Church. Following the residency, she also served as the church's Interim Assistant Minister. Nicole is currently in the ordination process with the United Church of Christ (UCC).

Nicole is married to James Weaver, a Ph.D. Candidate in New Testament and Early Christian Literature at the University of Chicago. Together they serve as Head Residents in the University Housing system and currently live with 105 undergraduate students. In their off hours, they enjoy playing with and wrangling their rambunctious puppy, Dizzy Miss Lizzy. Nicole and Jay also welcomed a new baby girl into their family in October 2009.
