Each year, the Church offers a variety of opportunities for adult education, because in order to practice our faith we have to know about it. We offer unique ways to learn about the way of life taught by Jesus Christ. In the past, classes included wide-ranging topics such as Disciple Bible Study, Bad Boys of the Bible, and Just Eating. Everyone is welcome, whether they are a member of this Church or any other.

Circle 11, a Bible study group, meets every Monday at 10:00AM for 90 minutes. Every session begins with prayers followed by a group topic discussion/Q&A. They also send cards of encouragement and go on one spiritual learning field trip per year.

PRCC Women's Bible Study, Wednesday 7:30pm or Thursday noon: Over the course of 8 weeks beginning May 19 & 20, we will take a look at the lives of some of the women in the Bible and explore (1) how they compare and contrast to our own lives, and (2) what they have to teach us about faith as well as faithfully navigating the complexities of our lives as women. Here are some women whom we will study (Some names may be very familiar to you while others may be new!): Hagar and Sarah, Naomi and Ruth, Vashti and Esther, Jephthah’s Daughter and the Mourning Women, Mary and Martha and the Women Who Followed Jesus. Our primary text will be our own Bibles, but we will also read Just a Sister Away: Understanding the Timeless Connection Between Women of Today and Women in the Bible, by Renita Weems. Weems is a Bible scholar, a celebrated preacher, and an ordained elder in the African Methodist Church as well as a former member of the faculty of Vanderbilt University and a former Visiting Professor at Spelman College. Weems has a talent for bringing the text to life and inviting us to enter into it, bringing all of our joys and challenges to bear on Scripture. Total cost for the study is $11. As always, scholarships are available.
