The singer-actor has performed many starring roles in musical theater productions throughout the Chicago-land area. He recently made his Lyric Opera of Chicago debut as Pritchitch in Merry Widow. A Jeff Award nominee, Larry is closely associated with a number of Chicago companies, some of which include: Drury Lane Oakbrook (11 roles to date, among them Ravenal/ Show Boat, Sky Masterson/ Guys and Dolls, and Che/ Evita); Light Opera Works (Fred Graham-Petruchio/ Kiss Me, Kate, Starbuck/ 110 in the Shade, Emile de Becque/ South Pacific, Frederick/ A Little Night Music, and Danilo/ The Merry Widow); and Theater at the Center (7 roles, including Coach Harper/ Knute Rockne: All-American, Renato/ Do I Hear a Waltz?, Old Deuteronomy/ Cats,  Georges/ La Cage aux Folles, and the title role/ Phantom, Jeff Award nomination). Adams has been directed numerous times by his colleague from Lyric’s Merry Widow, Gary Griffin; these productions include Passion (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), and Guys and Dolls and Evita (Drury Lane Oakbrook). Adams appeared on Broadway and in the national tour of Phantom of the Opera.
