Matthew Michael Lorz is a tenor who received his Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from Illinois State University. Matthew has performed as a soloist in many genres of music including opera, oratorio, musical theater, and pop. He has apprenticed with Des Moines Metro Opera and has worked with many professional companies including CandleOpera, Opera Illinois, and Opera for the Young. Currently, Matthew lives in Des Plaines, IL with his lovely wife Rebecca and his two daughters, Ella, 3, and Abby, 1. He is a full time stay at home dad and a part time student working on a Computer Information Systems degree at Concordia University. Matthew’s non-musical interests include traveling and playing games of all kinds.
