Dear Park Ridge Community Church Youth and Families:

Winter’s Coming!  Time to think about Skiing!

This year is predicted to be a “big weather winter” so why not celebrate the season with a ski trip?  This year, we will not only repeat our tradition of Middle School Ski Trips, but add another one for High School Students as well.  The High School trip is scheduled for Friday 1/20 – Sunday 1/22, the weekend after first semester final exams at Maine South.  We figured this would be a good weekend for some winter fun.  Middle Schoolers will head out two weeks later, on Friday 2/3. 

This trip is a great chance to try out skiing or snowboarding, if you are a first timer.  No prior experience is needed, and a lesson is included in the cost for the trip.  We will supply the breakfast and dinner meals, starting with dinner on Friday night.  You just need to bring money for Saturday and Sunday lunch.  We stay at the Vinopal’s family house not too far from the ski resort (Chestnut Mountain in Galena, Illinois).

This is a great weekend of fun and fellowship.  It’s a perfect chance to get to know your fellow PRCC youth better.  It’s also a terrific time to introduce a new friend to the group, especially if there’s someone you might be thinking about bringing on the Summer Mission Trip to Joplin, MO.

We’d love to have all our youth come along this year, but we will also need drivers and chaperones.  Parents, if you’re up for doing some driving, skiing, and/or food prep, we’d love to have you sign up as a chaperone.
