To be the friendly “face” of the Church; the first person visitors may meet or a church member may reach out to with a question or request. Responsible for all facets of church coordination between staff, volunteers, congregants, and outside vendors and services. The position demands excellent interpersonal skills to create and maintain a comfortable and inviting environment in the Church office.
Knowledge and Required Skills:
- Three years of prior experience in an office, church or non-profit setting
- Strong communications skills, both verbally and written
- Strong computer skills – proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and also Google Suite
- Demonstrate a high level of trust – strict confidentiality a must
- Familiarity with MailChimp, Sign Up Genius and Shelby Church Management System (CMS) a plus as is desire to learn something new every day
Financial Duties:
- Oversee accounts receivable
- Coordinate Shelby online giving, pledges, and giving statements with Vice-Chairman and Treasurer(s)
- Work with accountant and Treasurer(s) on maintaining financial records, run financial reports, adjust accounts as needed.

Suggested schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-3pm
