"for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me" Matthew 25:35
Each fall, PRCC joins with walkers from 12 area churches to participate in the Niles / Park Ridge CROP Hunger Walk. This year's Chicago area CROP Walk is scheduled to take place:
Sunday October 20, 2019. Our church family has been walking for over 20 years. We encourage all youth, adults and families to take part.
25 percent of the funds raised stay in our community, supporting the Maine Township Food Pantry. The remaining dollars are distributed worldwide to charities focusing on disasters, hunger relief and water purification projects.
Regardless of its size, your gift can have an impact around the corner and around the globe. Here are 3 examples of what your gifts can accomplish:
$10 of groceries: U.S. Food banks can distribute $10 worth of groceries for every $1 given to them.
150 meals: $50 in donations can be transformed into 150 meals at an area food bank.
Clean Water: $1000 provides a pump to give a community access to clean water & training to sustain it.
