Serve with PRCC

Caring for our neighbors near and far is a core commitment of PRCC!

We pack lunches for those experiencing homelessness, host a free food pantry, cook a meal for Lincoln Park Shelter monthly, collect items throughout the year, provide school supplies to those in need, support our local CROP walk, engage in Refugee ministry, send youth and adult teams on mission trips, AND MORE!

Collection Drives

In the summer, we collect school supplies and backpacks to support our ministry partner Kids Above All. These supplies are distributed through their programs to students in our area who are in need.

Throughout the year, our Outreach Committee hosts other drives as well for Christmas gifts, food donations, refugee ministry support, and more as needed. Our congregation and community always generously responds!

Ronald McDonald House

The Family Room at Advocate Children’s Hospital (Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge) serves as a haven for families whose children are being cared for, granting them immediate access to their hospitalized child, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Christian Outreach Committee provides meals for these families (enough for 50 people) and volunteers to deliver and serve the meals at Advocate Children’s Hospital once per quarter. Because the meals must come from a certified kitchen, not from a home or the PRCC kitchen, we arrange for catering from a local source to provide lunch, dessert and beverages for 50 at a cost of approximately $200 quarterly.
